Home Description
Description of the home
Our home in Marrickville is close to The famous Vic on the Park Pub, and 400m from Enmore park, a heated indoor swimming pool / gym, and Marrickville Metro shopping centre, within walking distance.
You can stroll to a one of three local shopping areas, Enmore Road, Enmore / King Street, Newtown / Marrickville Road, Marrickville, all with a huge selection of great restaurants and cafes / shops and hip bars!
The home you will enjoy is an amazing huge Californian Bungalow, a restored 1920's a three bedroom house with two bathrooms, heating / air conditioning.
Fully restored with all original features, wooden floor boards, double glazed windows for quiet nights sleep (you can't hear the planes!).
The modern Kitchen is huge (with gas appliances) opens onto the dining space and the two bathrooms are all modern, with an endless supply of hot water.
The front porch is large and covered, with a table and chairs leading onto a private small front garden, a great place to work from, make a private call or have a chat.
The rear garden is shared with the neighbours - who live in the granny flat at the rear, the Balinese Inspired garden, with a fountain, with Koi Carp and a BBQ, with an covered eating area pagoda, are also a nice place to entertain or just escape the house and read / work / or sit with your laptop.
The house is freestanding - no shared walls, so very peaceful.
Transport is so good, with buses coming very regular at the end of our Street - just 150m away, on Addison Road, or a 15 min walk to Stanmore Train Station and a 10-15 min trip to the city, in just 4 stops!
