Other information
You'll be taking over the room I've lived in the last six months (while I move to the room next door). It's the second bedroom of the house, and comfortably fits big furniture items such as queen bed, dresser, bedside table(s) and wardrobe. The room's door has a snib lock, and a large window with thick curtains.

Home Description

Description of the home

Good location - IGA and restaurants etc at one end of the street, train line (with walking/ cycling track) at the other. 20 mins bus ride to Footscray Plaza and Market.

Well-connected to public transport - 10 mins walk to the train station, 5-15 mins to bus stops. Also close to major roads and it's pretty straightforward to get a parking permit if you have a car.

The house itself has a front yard with porch, a decent backyard and plenty of space for growing veg etc. There's a granny flat out the back used currently as a study/ office space.

Inside, there's space for dining table, lounge furniture (e.g. tv, couches), and laundry white goods depending on the room. Once my current housemate leaves it'll be a mostly unfurnished common space so handy if you need/want to BYO washing machine/ TV/ furniture etc.

About the occupants
Hi there! I'm Clare. I’m a cis queer neurodivergent woman in my late 20s. I work part-time (Tue/Thu/Fri + every 2nd Sat) as a paediatric occupational therapist, running my own business.

I like sharing meals with others, chatting about our days, or just having someone around to share a cuppa with. I enjoy fanfic, singing and music, dog walks, cooking, and generally being creative. I will say hi to dogs almost before their people.
Compatible people
I like people who are kind, authentic and honest. Gentle but upfront communicators. Sociable. Those who are willing to take responsibility, but also who don't mind a "lived in" house (i.e. one that's not rent inspection ready *all* the time).
Description of pets
Sasha is a Staffy x Cattle Dog (with some Pointer in her too, probably). She turned 5 years old in April, and I've had her for nearly 3 years. She needs to be the ONLY DOG at home. She's a bit of an anxiety magnet, but she LOVES people, walks/ nature adventures, the heater inside or sunbaking outside, sitting on chairs like a human, and a good bout of rough-and-tumble play. She's very clever and empathetic - she knows lots of words/ games, is a quick learner, and will come see what's wrong if she thinks you're upset.
