Home Description

Description of the home

My current housemates are sadly moving out in four weeks’ time (approx. 22 April 2024), which means that means one queen-sized bedroom in this two-bedroom South Yarra house is now available for someone to move in from 22 April 2024.

THE HOUSE & ROOM

Located just a short distance from the Jam Factory end of Chapel Street (close enough to everything you need but far away enough to not hear the hustle & bustle) the house consists of two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one of which contains the washing machine & dryer), large living/dining area, & bright kitchen. There is a small front yard (big enough to sit out & relax in) and large backyard with BBQ & hammock.

The spacious queen-sized bedroom is located at the front of the house and comes unfurnished. The bedroom has its own separate walk-in closet that is located between the main bathroom and main bedroom (floor plans unavailable but happy to give you the tour).

The room is big enough for a queen-sized bed and office table & chair if you’re planning to work from home & wardrobe/cupboards if required.

The garden doubles up as a car parking space, however the house also comes with two parking permits so depending on your situation i.e. if you use your car a lot and need a guaranteed parking spot, I can park my car on the street.

I’m looking for a long-term tenant (but also open to short term) so if you’re aiming to stay long-term it would be handy for you to go on the lease & pay bond but open to discussions.

Whilst this is not a massive rave house it would be good to have someone that is open to a couple of glasses of red wine during the week and night out every so often, or hosting the odd BBQ with friends during summer.

If you sound like you’ll be a good fit, drop me a message and tell me a little about who you are/bit about you etc.

The photos show the old furniture from the old tenants but the layout/vibe of the house is still the same :)

About the occupants
I'm originally from the Northern part of the UK. I’ve been in Australia for 14 years so well and truly call Melbourne my home. I work from home three days a week (confined to my bedroom/office) in financial planning.

Outside of work I run my local soccer club, so my weekday nights are usually spent at the soccer club or chilling at home. Mid-week is always relatively low-key spent cooking, watching Netflix or down at the local watching my AFL/soccer team get beat.

I'm quite social & have a group of friends that I like to hang out with most weekends, also like to spend as much time being active, either playing soccer, running or cycling.
