Home Description
Description of the home
It’s a permaculture practicing, sustainability minded sort of household.
The home is located in a quiet and beautiful landscape overlay street that is abundant with native birds and wildlife. Its within easy walking distance to Public transport, Forest Hill Chase shopping centre and Blackburn Lake.
The house itself is Architect designed with many beautiful spaces both inside and outside to relax, read and unwind. All rooms have a unique garden view.
The block is large with many medium growth gum trees, native shrubs and the beginnings of herb and vegetable gardens including a large chicken house.
The kitchen is open and spacious.
We have systems for organising household chores, dishes, and other tasks so that things run smoothly, and we prefer a relatively uncluttered house where things have a home.

Housemate 2: I'm a 30 yo male. The immediate theme in my life is ecological participation, with connections to my interest in designing built and natural environments for shared benefit. Periodically, I work for an inventor; outside of this, I enjoy consuming and producing media, whether on the computer or with my hands.
Interested in sharing food, possibly combining a weekly veggie-box and groceries for shared meals.
Good at communicating openly and respectfully, negotiating and compromising in a group situation maintaining a healthy living environment.
Into living sustainably - conscious consumption, aiming toward zero waste, using resources - power/water/food wisely.
Non-smoker and non-drinker (or light social drinker only).
Preferably an individual rather than a couple (of course fine if you have a partner who wouldn’t be moving in with you).
Bonus points: You enjoy tidy/organised communal spaces, like gardening, preserving/dehydrating garden harvest and/or would like to join in with projects. I run a free food cupboard in the front yard, any help with this project would be appreciated. It has the added bonus of some free food for the household.
