I am looking for a friendly and responsible housemate to share a cosy cottage-style 2 bedroom house with myself in Morningside.

About the house.
Spacious open living/kitchen/dining area. 1 shared bathroom + seperate toilet. Air-conditioner/Ceiling fan in main living area. There is a laundry downstairs with washer to use and clothesline in backyard. Enclosed deck with seating area which is great to have an evening drink or morning coffee. Off-street or on-street parking depending on preference. The house is located in a very vibrant neighbourhood but it is a nice quiet street with friendly neighbours. We are blessed with native bushland within walking distance for hiking and to get a regular nature fix. Also within walking distance is cafe that does the best coffee around, close to a variety of restaurants, shopping centre, groceries. It’s a beautiful, centralised area close to the city, public transport and the Gateway bridge for easy access to the Northside and Southside. I feel pretty lucky to live here!

I'm a laidback and easy to get along with. Outside of work I live an active lifestyle based around health & wellness, simplicity, balanced with introverted pursuits like music, reading, art and consider home to be very much a sanctuary. I love making connections and chatting about both deep and surface level, but also am quite independent and value my privacy while respecting the independence and privacy of others.

My ideal room-mate would also regard home as a sanctuary built around the pillars of respect, reliability, cleanliness and compatibility but allowing for independence and privacy. Ultimately don’t we all just want to come home to people we can share time and space with in positivity and peace?
Description of pets
I have a super friendly and low maintenance cat (Radhika) and she’ll no doubt approach you for regular pats and with her favourite toy for a game. So ideally you like cats and would care about her safety and wellbeing also. She is very much the queen of her domain so probably not open to introducing another pet into the mix at this present time.
