Home Description
Description of the home
If you are seeking a home, a sanctuary from the world where crafternoons, Friday gin club, housemate dinner, fostering cats and parallel play with your housemates is part of the norm then we might be the place for you.
Our current housemate is moving in with her girlfriend so we are looking for a new addition to our chosen family. We strive to make it a home - this is not the sort of place where people just exist together. We like to spend time together, have house dinners, go on outings and collectively exist in the same space whilst we decompress and send each other TikTok’s.
It’s an airy, light townhouse that overlooks a park.
The bedroom is roomie, with large built in wardrobe, bookcase included and has a little nook that could be set up as an office space/reading corner etc. with a skylight that can be closed to keep the room dark as needed.
Bathroom will be shared with Eva, with general living spaces shared by all. House is fully furnished so you will only need bedroom stuff, however there is potential space in the garage to store things.
You will have a spot in the garage for your car which can fit up to an SUV easy.
The whole house has ducted ac/heating. Officially the room is available from May 5th but if you need somewhere sooner that may be possible as the departing roomie has some flexibility.

My friends would describe me as Elle Woods if Elle Woods had diagnosed ADHD and three cats. I work in the city, and I keep myself busy with a part-time Masters, fostering kittens, crocheting, writing aggressively upbeat love notes to my friends and doom-scrolling TicTok with my cats in bed. My partner, Hamish is around during the week and sometimes stays for a few nights or weekends.
Eva is an outgoing introvert and also identifies as an old lady in a young body. She is originally from the Netherlands/Ireland and speaks English, Dutch and Galiec. When not at work wrangling small children she enjoys reading, LEGO, trying her hand at crafts, going to musicals, listening to Taylor Swift and spending time with the foster cats.
I have three cats: Winifred - the little cream baby, Hubert the Void and Klaus his reclusive lover.
Winnie is 14 and she enjoys naps in sunbeams and like a little chat and snuggle at the end of the day. Huey is three and is a snuggly baby. He likes to play but he’s relatively chill and he loves to cuddle/will demand you hold me. Klaus is one and mostly keeps to himself. He is Huey’s best friend and love and they are cute and gay together but he’s a bit shy of humans.
I also foster cats so I generally have a bonus kitten or four around the house so being a cat person is mandatory.
