Home Description

Description of the home

Lovely little house in a very good area. The bedroom available looks out to the park and Oval at the front of the house. The kitchen is small and basic but does what it needs to do, there is an office space which I use but can easily have another desk in there (or the existing one while my partner is away!). The living space is at the back looking out to the garden. Huge open space with floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides.

The house is on Alphington, only 5 mins away from the station and 15 mins from the city. No supermarket close by, but in Ivanhoe and Fairfield, the suburb over in each direction. There is free parking on the street, unfortunately the carport is being used.

About the occupants
Hello! I'm Richard, 40-year-old Scotsman that has lived here with my partner (who is Australian) for the last 7 years. I moved here on a relationship visa and got stuck here! :)
I am about to start my first year at university (Health admin degree, v boring), while my partner has left to do a year of fieldwork in Vanuatu for her PhD. So we are both poor students again! This makes the house too expensive to run without company, so time to make a new friend. :)
Compatible people
Just helping out and keeping the place vaguely tidy, I am in no way obssessive about cleaning, but keeping the living areas respectable would be good. Oh, and if I dont, then shout at me. :)
Also, as much as I try to convince myself I'm not getting old, I unfortunately am... So its not a party flat I'm afraid. I need to get a lot of study done this year, and I start work at 7am 2/3 days a week, so being conscious about that would be appreciated. Doesn't mean I don't socialise, just midweek 4am binges are out. :D
Description of pets
2 cats! Floyd and Freya. Floyd bit of a dick, but cute and cuddly so he gets away with it. Freya is a bit more standoffish, but will take the occasional pat. Both drool more than any cat I have ever known....
