Home Description

Description of the home

This is a cute, 3 level terrace house in a quiet street in the heart of Surry Hills. It is comfortably furnished; the kitchen has an oven and microwave and leads to a small, sunny courtyard. It is 5 mins walk to Central Station, and all the restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood. I have lived in and also rented this house for over 22 years and generally, everyone who's lived here has enjoyed the house and its vibe.

Expect monthly bills to be around $40 elec/gas and $40 cleaner.
There's no internet in the house as people use their own data.
There is no washing machine as people use the nearby laundry service. There's a line to dry clothes in the courtyard.

About the occupants
My house is currently used as a base in town for work, noone cooks, they mostly come just to sleep.
They are 2 x mature FIFO, working professionals, and quiet is a priority.
My 60+ husband is in IT sales, & flies in intermittently, spending 1-3 weeks there at a time. He exercises down at the beach and so is up at 5am and usually in bed by 9.30pm. Occasionally, our daughter and I will stay.
The other is a 40+ female photographer who also commutes between houses and spends 2 nights a week in town. She prioritises quiet as she too is up early and in town to work.
Compatible people
No couples, no short term stays, I prefer minimum one year, and no to young international students, as not the right fit.
Our ideal is a 40+ professional, a FIFO (fly in fly out), who commutes between houses and just requires a base in town. Or a mature, quiet person who likes their own company as the house is empty a lot.
