Home Description

Description of the home

Just moved into a sweet 2 BR/2BA apartment by the race course and Centennial Park. The flat is on the top floor with a lift and secure entry. There's a large balcony that runs the width of the place and each room has a sliding door onto it. There's AC in the living room, a nook outside [your] room, and a dedicated rooftop space for us (locked fence). Guest bathroom will be yours and has a large shower. Also, internal laundry room with washer & dryer. Kitchen has the essentials: dishwasher, fridge, microwave, gas oven/stovetop, air fryer, cookware/utensils and whiteware.

I'm still sorting out furniture for the lounge, but do have a dining table.

Location is great as it's close to bus and 2 tram stops. Petrol stations on either side of the building. Within a 10 min drive to main shops on Belmore/Avoca, Coogee Beach, Bondi Junction, UNSW/NIDA/PoW Hospital, Kingsford, The Spot, Moore Park/Entertainment Quarter. 30 min by public transport to the CBD.

There's limited permit parking on the streets behind the complex which you can buy from the Council.

About occupants
I'm Son, an American-Kiwi and hopefully soon-to-be Aussie. Some people collect shoes. I collect passports. Jokes aside, I am very easy going, courteous, and responsible. I mostly WFH in VFX for TV and film as a contractor/fixed-term employee, which fluctuates a lot. So, I am home often and swing between being super busy to having more free time than I need. I cook and do take aways depending on my mood/the weather. Like to keep common areas clean and tidy (I consider those two different things). Total night owl and very late starter. That said, I've almost exclusively lived with early risers over the last 5 years and never had any issues waking/keeping each other up. Key is being mindful and communicative.
Compatible people
Mindfulness in how each one behaves and communicating nicely if something bothers you. Pulling your weight when it comes to maintaining the flat/shared spaces. Paying your rent & bills on time and not needing reminders. And my final deal breaker would be loud noises (slamming doors/drawers/cabinets, screaming at the tv, blasting music, etc.).

No couples as the max occupancy is 2 people per the lease.

Sadly, no WFH more than 2 days/week cuz I've been there/done that and it was not a good experience.
Description of pets
Don't have any pets, but I'm more of a cat person than a dog person despite being allergic to cats.

If you have a cat, we'd have to speak with the building manager and property manager to see if that would be allowed.
