Home Description

Description of the home

Nicely presented modern 3 bedroom / two storey home in Botanica housing estate. Located on a quiet street opposite a large park. The house has three separate living spaces + 2.5 bathrooms. Ducted air-conditioning throughout to keep you cool on those hot summer nights. You will share the house with two friendly easy-going guys. You will have the use of the main bathroom located next to your bedroom. Usually you will have the bathroom to yourself, but you will need to share it if house guests / visitors stay.

The backyard has a large covered pergola area for entertaining. The main bathroom is conveniently located next to your bedroom.

It's a healthy 20+ minutes walk to Lidcombe train station or you can catch the 925 bus which stops around the corner.

Your friends are welcome to visit.

Moving in here you are not just "renting a room"... you are sharing a house with two guys. Having the right "fit" is important. The house is located in a new housing estate with over 7 hectares of parkland. A golf course across the road and Sydney university Cumberland campus + Rookwood cemetery on the other side, so it is located in one of Sydney metro’s largest green spaces. As I said, you are not just renting a room in a house on a street in a suburb… it’s the total package.

About occupants
Tim here... I'm an easy-going guy with a busy but relaxed lifestyle. You will share the 3 bedroom house with me as the landlord and 1 overseas student who studies / works part-time. I enjoy having friends / neighbours (gay & straight) pop in for drinks, coffee and dinners, plus eating out at local restaurants etc. I grew up in the local area so I am open minded to different cultures and racial backgrounds.
Compatible people
Every flatmate is an individual with different qualities and dynamics... my existing housemate and I are happy to share meals / have dinners together (it is more motivating to cook for 2 or 3 people than just for one) but I also understand if you prefer to do your own thing and respect your own space. I prefer a housemate who is working or studying with an active lifestyle and has outside interests (not a couch potato). I like to keep the house clean and tidy, and it will be your shared responsibility to keep the main bathroom clean at all times. This is not negotiable, if you are a messy or untidy person we are not going to get along. I respect your space and your privacy, but I am not a fan of those who lock themselves in their room with the door closed 24/7, for me that’s a bit strange. This is not a "party house" but I would like a flatmate who is happy to sit at the kitchen bench and have a chat about general stuff. As I said, if you are a solitary person who prefers to lock himself in his room 24/7 we are probably not the right fit for each other.
Description of pets
I do have two friendly playful dogs, they live outside in the yard during the day while I'm at work and also sleep outside at night. They usually come inside (downstairs) while I am at home.
