Other information
This bedroom has a big sash window facing east, gets amazing morning light (the lightest room in the entire apartment), so even though it's the smallest it's got a great vibe. The room is furnished with a new queen bed, clothes rack, shelves, small table, and shelves for storage – see pics.

Our previous housemate also had a desk for WFH days. It’s an older apartment so there are no built-ins, but there is some space in the hall cupboard next to the bedroom door for additional items/bulky coats etc. We could potentially take some of the furniture out if needed.

At this stage we're looking for someone to sublet the room for at least 3-4 months, but there's potentially some scope to extend as our housemate might be away for longer - happy to discuss.

Home Description

Description of the home

Our apartment is in the well-known Manar building on Macleay St in Elizabeth Bay/Potts Point. The building is amazing, a 19th century design with beautiful gardens and harbour views from the shared garden (and some water glimpses from this room). We are in a great location, right across the road from Woolworths and with Potts Point’s bars and restaurants right outside our door.

Kings Cross train station is a 5-10 minute walk away and the 311 bus across the road takes you into the city. You can also walk to the city in about 20 minutes. The Botanical Gardens and Domain are 15 mins walk, Centennial Park is 30 mins, and you can walk to Red Leaf beach in about 30 mins, through Rushcutters Bay Park which is just down the road.

Our apartment has three bedrooms plus separate dining, living and sunroom - great space for three people. We have a fully equipped galley kitchen (with gas/induction cook tops, oven, dishwasher), one full bathroom (with bath/shower) and a second toilet. There's a bit of storage in the hallway which you'll be able to use too.

About occupants
Hi, we're Charlie and Andy, both easy-going professionals in our 30s, Charlie does work in tech consulting with new side hustle as a DJ, and Andy works in the arts with a new side hustle listening to Charlie be a DJ. We're both social, and enjoy getting active and outdoors, and love to chill at home, cook, get into the odd Netflix series together with a wine.

We’re a chilled, social house, happy to hang out or have a drink together, but very much have our own lives, especially through the week. We think we're pretty friendly, relaxed and easy going people, and looking for someone who is a good mix of those qualities to sublet our amazing housemates room for a few months.
Compatible people
We're looking for a working professional who can be a chilled addition to our home. Someone who is friendly, inclusive, clean and respectful, and just as importantly enjoys a wine and laugh. Ours is a happy friendly home - get on board!
Description of pets
We used to have a couple of cockroaches but Charlie launched a pretty comprehensive campaign against them so they're gone and we're now pet-free.
