About the occupants
Hey I'm Cody, a 39-year-old single gay professional. I work a corporate job that usually takes a bit more than 40 hours of my week, and I do that from home 4 out of 5 days (in a dedicated room). I'm looking for a flatmate that I can get on well with, have a yarn after work peppered with a drink here and there or watching TV, but also give them their space and privacy. I enjoy socialising on weekends, which means out partying here and there and hosting friends for pre-drinks once or twice a month. However I balance that with outdoorsy and physical stuff (mountain biking, tennis, gymming, etc etc) as well as aspirational hobbies that tend to never stick! (I'm currently 'learning' guitar). I'd say I'm quite tidy by nature and have fortnightly cleaners because the place is far too big for me to do it myself. I haven't had a flatmate in a few years, but I'm in a 3 bedroom home and think I'm ready to try it out again, so looking for someone temporary-ish (1-3 months) to ease me back into it.
Compatible people
If you’re socially laid-back, low on drama, and value a balanced mix of after-work sociability and quiet downtime, we might just click. I enjoy unwinding with company after hours and on weekends, and while I occasionally have pre’s at mine home is primarily a peaceful retreat. Keeping things clean and tidy is important to me, though I'm not overly obsessive about it – ideally, you're someone who tidies as they go, but our fortnightly cleaners help maintain order too. Work-wise, a Monday to Friday, 9-5 schedule would be convenient, but not essential - and working from home is fine too. When it comes to lifestyle, I appreciate someone with diverse interests and hobbies, who isn’t always cocooned at home or glued to the TV (although we all have those days where that’s the vibe!).
