Home Description

Description of the home

The house is central to all required ammenities, and ideally located on the fringe of Albert Park. You will have the best of both suburbs within walking distance.

The residence, a typical Victorian home layout, was renovated a few years ago by the landlord specifically to be a rental.

A long hallway, a front garden entrance, two large bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, and a decent-sized lounge area make up the house. The bedrooms and lounge have carpet flooring, with vinyl in the kitchen and tiled flooring in the bathroom.

My favorite space is the large, north-facing, fully-fenced backyard. I've created a beautiful garden complete with an outdoor table, sun chairs and BBQ - it's a spot to relax, have breakfast, and enjoy on nice days.

Public transport is easy and convenient - there is ample free all-day street parking right outside.

Bills and expenses

Bills are shared 50/50 between us and fluctuate with the seasons—reasonable bills should be expected for a two-person household. Fast wifi is available.

Individual food shops are preferred. However, I'm okay with sharing the usual items like butter, oils, salad dressing and other everyday long-lasting things.

About the occupants
I'm a Consultant, which often means longer than 9-5 hours. I prefer working from home when possible with a desk set up in the kitchen's dining area. However, I do go to the office a few days per week.

I find joy and balance in regular gym sessions, healthy living, intelligent conversations, daily walks, cooking, audiobooks/podcasts, impromptu nature adventures, good friends, travel, a binge TV show/movie, chill time, and of course, my dog Benson.

Cleaning is a good way for me to unwind after work, I enjoy resetting the house for the next day. Given I work from home often and have a dog, daily cleaning is not a mutual expectation.

I understand the delicate balance of sharing a house and always remain mindful of the social vs. alone time needed in the shared spaces.
Compatible people
I am seeking someone who resonates with what I’ve written above and shares similar values. Someone who works primarily out of the house.

It would be great to have a grounded and stable person join me on the lease. Someone who engages in their life outside of work and can hold a conversation, likes to watch a movie/show together - or share a wine/food every now and then.

Extra points: If you enjoy keeping your home presentable and don’t see it as a chore, you notice and act on things that may need to be done because it’s your home.

And, of course, you will love the company of my boy Benson 🐶✨
Description of pets
Benson is 11.5 years old, super chill, obedient, well-trained, and the best housemate of all time. He is a bit older now, so his legs don't take him far anymore - but he is the most gentle and human-like boy.

He has been trained from a puppy to not be on the furniture or beds, and has his own very expensive orthopedic bed which he considers his space that he loves.

He is very well taken care of and loved by me. :)
