Bills and expenses
Electricity and gas is discounted as I am a Concession Card holder and receive a discount on bills. June bill $148 (Winter and CC discount applied) July bill $277 (WITHOUT Winter and CC discount applied)
Bills given as an example are combined gas and electricity on the lowest negotiable rate with Globird, however, I am due to shop around for the best rate.
Internet $59.99 per month to be halved. ($30 each) 5G wireless connection. High Speed Broadband available at your own expense. Outlet for modem in your room.
Water costs are approximately $30 a quarter.
I visit food pantries to collect groceries as I cannot afford to shop regularly, so as a bonus you get to share with me in the seasonal fruit and vegetables, meat, bread, milk and other grocery items I receive, as often there is plenty to go around.
The cost of toilet paper, cleaning products and maintenance/miscellaneous items like light globes, gas bottles for BBQ and soda stream, batteries etc. are to be shared.

I am 52 years old. I love cooking, thrifting and my cat Jet. I am on Disability Support Pension, looking for part time employment and am planning to return to study next year. I also like to exercise and often socialise with my friends.
I am a friendly, down to earth, no nonsense person and easy to get along with provided you are honest and up front. I have lived in this unit for over 10 years now and have an excellent relationship with the property manager, landlord and neighbours.
I've been living on my own here for a while now, so it may take me a little time to get used to having you around. Please forgive me if I seem a little self absorbed sometimes!
My disability will not impact your lifestyle or require you to perform any extra duties. It is usually controlled by medication and I am beginning to change things in my life that are proving to impact positively on its quality. You get the benefits of my Concession Card with freebie fruit, veg and groceries plus cheaper electricity and gas!
I have just finished a massive clean out of every single cupboard in the unit and have shed about 10 years of "stuff", clothing, hard rubbish and old and unused household items. So now, there is a place for everything and everything has a place. Now, I've never been very good at putting things back where they came from, but I'm making a concerted effort and its making such a difference in my life! So I'd like it if you could be reasonably tidy too. Or at least try!
Knowing how to and when to clean the bathroom, kitchen and loungeroom would be great. I do not want to be your mother. These are basic life skills, you should know this, I should not have to tell you or nag you to clean common areas or show you how to clean properly and thoroughly.
I've lived with others in the past and I've found that the best way to approach things is openly and honestly. If there is a problem we should bring it up as soon as possible, no matter how small and we can discuss it before it becomes too large or emotive to discuss it rationally.
Overall, I want the unit to be a happy, cosy, friendly, comfortable place to live and bring our friends and family. I hope that is your aim too. It really is a lovely little place and should be our sanctuary.
Sometimes if I decide to stay with a friend, or am going to be home later than I anticipate, I may ask you to put a sachet of food in his bowl. But most of the time, I'm home when he wants food, or he manages on dry food until I get home. He will, of course, tell you that I never feed him, but he is simply not to be believed. He is a massive liar.
