Home Description
Description of the home
A hundred metre walk to trams that take you into the city, otherwise the CBD is just a 20 minute bike ride (with bikes available here for use). A couple hundred metres from Puckle Street shopping strip and the bus depot. Our home has a tremendous back yard with fig, apricot, persimmon, nectarine, pear and lemon trees as well as lots of garden space with healthy growing vegetables. We have a few sheds for storage, one now turned into a sculpture workshop. We also offer the use of a painting studio, a large kitchen with all the amenities you could ask for, a piano, sewing machine station and type-writer.
The house-mates are a all friendly and respectful students or artists that are happy to accomodate anyone. A renter will be free to change the space as the wish, as long as it is respectful and understood to be temporary. Dinners are often shared and movies are often watched together. But if you want privacy and more alone time there is the space in the house for that. I find the quiet of the neighbourhood and the birds that often come into the yard a very relaxing and necessary balance to the chaos of the city.

Libby will be moving in soon as another room is up for rent by my friend who will be travelling overseas with me. She is in her earlier twenties and plays beautiful music in a local band. I don't know her super well but she seems quite funny, lighthearted and curious.
