Hi All,

My name is Mat and I am seeking house-mates.

I have two rooms to rent which would suit either a couple who want a bedroom as well as separate home study or their own work / living space. Note: this second room could be claimed as a tax deduction as a work from home space :-). Happy to also have two individuals rent the rooms out individually. The rooms are located in the old front part of the house adjacent to the ground floor bathroom. The rooms are medium sized, furnished with queen sized beds, wardrobe, heater, sofa chair, desk and chair. And both have built in shelves.

When I complete the installation of the bathroom upstairs (80% done) – the front two rooms and bathroom will be the renter’s own space with their own bathroom. In my experience, share houses work best when couples or individuals have their own area of the house, as well as shared spaces – like kitchen and main living room. This is my ‘vision’ for how I hope to set up the house.

The home is a renovated terrace. It will soon have two bathrooms. It is bathed in natural light, the versatile open-plan living/dining area is accompanied by modern kitchen and bathroom (that has both shower and bath). Gas heating, split-system air conditioning, high ceilings and solid timber floors.

Fleming Park and Merry Creek are walking distance, as is Nicholson Street trams, local cafes, bars and East Brunswick Village shops.

I practice architect, and do research. I am mainly vego. My interest include, art, music, food and camping. I have share lived for over 20 years, and regard it as a very positive part of my life.

Bills divided equally per number of people. I toggle off my phone for wifi and suggest tenants do same off their own phones. There is broadband connected to house but I do not use it
