Description of the home

Hi I’m Mike. I am a social guy who enjoys good food, a cold beer, live bands, footy, BBQ’s and the great outdoors. I also have a disability which impacts my ability to live on my own but not to have a good time! I’ve been living in my home for 8 years. I have support workers to help me out a bit throughout the week and I rely on housemates for a little additional support across the week for small things such as; reminding me to clean my teeth and selecting weather appropriate clothes. Ideally this would also include some time throughout the week cooking together. In exchange for these light supports the room will effectively be rent free… Michaela who is helping me to find a housemate can share more details.
I’m looking for a housemate who wants to spend time together, cooking, eating, watching movies together but also someone who is respectful of boundaries. The house has always had a friendly atmosphere which is the vibe I want to cultivate with you!

About you:
Ultimately, I’m looking for a friendly, reliable, respectful, happy, and caring person who really wants to be part of a great share house. My ideal housemate is someone who enjoys having a chat over an occasional shared meal, is neat and tidy, and someone who is either working or studying. If you have a good sense of humour, are community minded, and have a cooperative nature that you would put you at the top of the list!
About the house:

A homely 4 bedroom house in Bayswater, featuring a large living area with comfortable sofas, heating and air-conditioning, 2 bathrooms, a modern fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher) that flows into a second living area, and a deck with a BBQ and a leafy outlook.

We’re in a great location - in a quiet street, only 500m to the nearest bus stop, and 1500m from Woolworths, ALDI, numerous restaurants and gyms (life’s about balance right…) and Bayswater train station. There's a double carport, room for a couple more cars in the driveway and plenty of free street parking. There’ll be 4 of us living in the home.

Bills and expenses

The utilities are divided between all housemates (the actual bill divided according to room size). We contribute to a monthly kitty for cleaning and bathroom items (e.g. cleaning products, toilet paper - you can help decide what).
