Home Description

Description of the home

The property is an amazing recently renovated 4bdr home, first built in 1890.
We've chosen a home that is spacious so that it can be shared without being in each other's space and fully furnished the house including an extra fridge so there is plenty of room for everyone.
There is heaps of storage space throughout, and a big kitchen including a butler's pantry.
Each bedroom has reverse cycle heating and air conditioning and BIRs.
The second and third bedrooms will share one bathroom, and the fourth is used as an office space / spare room.
There is room for a bike or motorbike on the property, but not for a second car as it's a narrow driveway so there is no room to move past another car. However you can obtain a free parking permit from council to park in front of the house - parking is always available.
There is hydronic heating throughout the house, and a gas log fire in the lounge.
There is a good sized garden with grass, back porch and garden shed.
We are walking distance to the river, to shops and cafes on Pakington St, and to Kardinia Park - we can see the lights from the back porch. It's a 30min walk to Cunningham Pier, and the number 24 bus stops out front. South Geelong station is a 20 minute walk.
As the house will be shared, housemates will need to be able to be flexible should one person move out - meaning that we will all pay a little more to cover the rent until we fill the room again.

About the occupants
Hello! I'm Kerry, a 39yo female who has recently moved to Geelong from NW Victoria.
Being new to the area I am looking to explore the city as well as surrounding areas, I love hiking, bike rides, camping, and wine tours!
I've done a lot of travel, I like running and yoga, and I volunteer in my spare time.
Stevie is a 31yo med student in her 4th year at Deakin who has lived in the area for several years.
Stevie is also mum to Rudy, a loveable 6yo rescue dog, maybe a Lab x Rottweiler.
It'd be great to share with someone like minded who is kind, caring and looking for a home away from home.
Like many others, we like a peaceful and respectful home with friendly housemates. Not too many massive nights, but love to host a dinner party or have friends over for a drink and maybe a board game! Sharing the odd meal and a wine with housemates is great and I'm up for a backyard barbie in the Summer or sitting around the firepit in Winter. BYO BBQ 😆
Compatible people
We are seeking a third housemate, single or couple. Anyone interested in making this house a home should be super clean and have pride in their home, contributing to making this a safe and happy place for us all, and doing their bit to clean and maintain the home and garden. I am looking for people who are polite and friendly, like a laugh, show kindness, respect and care, and don't mind showing kindness to Rudy dog.
Description of pets
6yo lab x rottweiler, loves pats and sneaky treats! He has a doggy door so is pretty self sufficient. He likes to talk but doesn't really bark or make any noise, and doesn't jump on you. Up for walks any time.
