Description of the home
Location, Location Location!! Centrally located within short walking distance (5-10 mins) to Southbank, QUT, Riverstage, Botanical Gardens, QPAC, Convention Centre, The Gabba, and Mater Hospital. Transport options are plenty with quick access (3 mins) to Mater Bus Station (and about a 15-minute bus ride to UQ), a 6-minute walk to Southbank Train Station, or down a flight of stairs to the Maritime Museum Ferry Terminal (free service) - or you can walk to the city in 15 minutes via Southbank or the Botanic Gardens. Enjoy sensational views downriver to the Story Bridge and Kangaroo Point cliffs and across the river to the city skyline. There is only visitor parking available so this would not suit someone who has a vehicle. Full use of the gym facilities, swimming pool, and communal area is available,
Tastefully and comfortably furnished, the apartment has a huge outdoor balcony with two additional living spaces (a 6-seat dining area and a more casual lounge area) that take full advantage of the fantastic views, beautiful river breezes, and the sunny north-east aspect - perfect for the outdoor garden (yes there are a few plants about the place too!) The air-conditioned common living areas are stylish and comfortable - a great zen-like space to relax. Superfast unlimited internet, water, and electricity are all included in the weekly rent as is general cleaning of the common area. All mod cons are available in a fully functioning kitchen with a coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge, oven, and every imaginable utensil you may need. The laundry/bathroom is very spacious (no bath) and is shared with the host.
The available bedroom is the spacious main bedroom with a lockable door. Also tastefully furnished, there is a large comfortable Queen-size bed with linen, 2 bedside tables with lamps, loads of hanging and drawers, a bedroom chair, and a small desk/table and stool. The room also has direct access to the large outdoor balcony and has privacy and block-out blinds. The room is available from 1st March 2024 - preferences will be given to International exchange students on a 1-semester exchange or someone looking for a 4-month maximum stay. References available.

I lead a quiet and uncomplicated life, I'm clean and tidy, and very respectful of others' space and privacy although I'm equally happy to share a meal or socialize with a housemate if the opportunity presents itself. I'm looking for like-minded souls who are easygoing, congenial, communicative, house-trained, and someone who doesn't need to be asked to clean up after themselves. I have no age preference - it is more about the right vibe and connection that matters.
I have a preference for international students on a 1-semester exchange. The last roommates were international students here for 3-4 months and this arrangement suits me perfectly otherwise the maximum stay is 6 months.
I currently work full-time and usually work from home two days per week. I am also a social smoker (strictly outside only) so I need a flatmate who understands and is comfortable with this from the outset.
The room is available from 22nd June.
