Hi, I’m Isabel, nice to meet you!
I’m a 60-year-old retired Brazilian woman currently visiting Canberra. I arrived about a month ago to spend time close to my daughter and my grandson, Thomas, and I’m planning to stay for at least one year. My daughter lives in an apartment, so I’m looking for a comfortable granny flat where I can have my own space while still being nearby.
During my stay, I’m studying English and enjoying the experience of living overseas for a while. My days are flexible and peaceful. I love writing, reading, arts, movies, bushwalking, and, most of all, spending time with Thomas. I’m quiet, tidy, and very respectful of others’ space.
I’m here with my husband, Sandro, who will be staying only for the next 3–4 months (around February/March). Ideally, I’m looking for a place that would allow him to stay with me during that period. After he returns to Brazil, it will be just me for the rest of the year.
I enjoy pets, keep a neat home, and appreciate a friendly, calm living environment. I’m looking forward to finding a comfortable place where I can settle during my stay in Canberra.

When it comes to food, I prefer to arrange my own meals. I’m not vegetarian or vegan, and I’m happy to take care of my own groceries and cooking.
