Hi there! My name’s Maddy — I’m a classically trained and qualified actor currently based in Gympie, looking to relocate to Brisbane to be closer to work opportunities and build a future in the arts. I am 29 years old and currently live with my parents temporarily.
I receive the disability pension, which provides a stable income, and I also pick up casual jobs when I can — something I’m really looking forward to doing more of in Brisbane.
Creativity plays a huge part in my life. I’ve trained in acting, but I also enjoy exploring all kinds of creative outlets, from writing to performance and beyond. I live a fairly quiet and independent lifestyle, and I’m always respectful of the space I’m in.
I’ll be moving with my five-year-old rescue dog, who is well-behaved and fully house-trained — he’s my best little companion. And also plays a huge part in my ment health recovery.
Brisbane feels like the right next step for me, and I’m really excited to find a welcoming home where I can settle in and focus on my goals.

Important personal qualities
To me, a good flatmate is someone who’s respectful, clean in shared spaces, and easy to communicate with. I don’t mind if we’re super social or keep to ourselves — I think the main thing is being mindful of each other and creating a peaceful, positive home environment. I really value honesty, kindness, and a bit of mutual respect — everything else tends to fall into place with those things in place.
Food sharing and furniture
I don’t have much in the way of furniture. And prefer to do most of my own grocery shopping and cooking, however I do enjoy cooking for others so would be nice to be able to share a meal once a week.
Description of pets
My dog is named Buddy, he is 5 years old and a rescue from the RSPCA. I adopted him when I was just 7 months old and helped to rehabilitate him to the happy healthy dog he is today. I am very proud of the time and efforts I have put in with him because he is the most loving, cuddly and protective dog. He is my everything and I really do pride myself on his training and behaviour.
