Description of the home

Four people living in the house already and two people are moving out. One couple and another male and female, we are all in our early 30's and work professionally, in interior design, renewable energy, retail and hospitality. We are social during the week and like to share a meal from time to time however we are also quite an independent house and spend time out and about seeing friends, family and being active.

The home is on the water of South Melbourne/Albert Park beach and is a two level terrace home, pretty much in its original state apart from a renovated bathroom; it's a quirky home with personality. There are 2 bedrooms, living and bathroom upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs, dining and a separate outdoor toilet and laundry. We have a big backyard that is really nice in winter to soak up the sunshine, with a veggie patch. The place comes with furniture as well as a bed in either room available if you wish to use it, the style of the rooms are quite quirky with original timber floor boards throughout. The upstairs living room is large with a fireplace and opens onto a balcony that looks out onto the bay.

Parking is available however it's permit parking on the street that you will have to apply for with Port Phillip Council.

We have the no.1 tram a 1 minute walk from our house that takes you direct to the city and north side of town; Fitzroy/Carlton.

Bills and expenses

Internet is $20 a month and then bills are quarterly which are generally $100 including gas, electricity and water. We use an application splitwise to know what bills are due and we pay one person in the house direct for the bills.

About the occupants
Hilary / Michael are a couple in the house aged 29 / 31; who live in an upstairs room. Both work professionally in interior design & renewable energy. Active, healthy and friendly couple, enjoy sharing a meal during the week with whoever is around and are quite active most nights after work (running, walking, swimming or yoga) and most weekends they get out of town or are out and about with friends / family. Lachie the other roommate who lives downstairs is a friend of Michael's, he is a chilled out and super easy going guy who loves music. He works part-time in retail so when he isn't working he is generally down the Mornington Peninsula. We all love to share a meal, glass of wine and have a good laugh and catch up during the week however we also value our privacy and own time in the house.
