Description of the home

We are looking for a new housemate to occupy two medium-sized rooms (perfect for those looking for a bedroom and a studio/office/study) in a four bedroom, sunny and spacious home right near the Yarra river in Abbotsford.

Our names are Zac and Dave and we are two brothers from Melbourne. Our friend and long term housemate is sadly moving out due to work but we're pumped to find someone who’ll be equally good at neglecting Zac’s house plants and stealing Dave’s food.

We're in an excellent spot in north-east Abbotsford near the convent, on a quiet and safe street right near the Yarra. We’re within walking/biking distance to Victoria St, Smith St, Brunswick St and the CBD. The house is great in all seasons – it has a big backyard for summer BBQs and is cosy and warm in winter. It’s open plan living/dining/kitchen, with one separate toilet, one bathroom, split system heating/cooling, and a jungle of indoor plants.

Dave's 36, runs a swim school, makes furniture, loves sports, coffee, The Voice (!), and makes a fucking excellent brunch. Zac's 33, also makes furniture, cooks everything from ceviche to Okonomiyaki, takes photos, dabbles in pub footy, loves camping, and admires the patience of ornithologists. Don't worry there won't be any ganging up, we'll just be happy to have someone around who isn't us.

If you’re keen on a home comprised of chill weeknights on the couch, +/- the odd (regular?) wine, whiskey or beer; and social weekends with dinner parties, summer BBQs and even a wild game of boggle then come check out the rooms and say g'day.

Bills and expenses

Bills not included in rent. Wifi $24 per month. Bills (gas, water and electricity) approx $50 each per month. Bills divided equally.
