The bedroom is located at the top of the terraced house, with a skylight and north facing windows, so you can get a real nice through-breeze during summer. Carpeted, and while there isn't a built-in wardrobe there's plenty of storage space. More than enough room for a desk and/or standing wardrobe, in addition to space for a bed.

A semi-modern 3 bedroom terrace in Leichhardt, the house has a small front garden with a VERY healthy rosemary bush, a large ground floor space for the living room and dining area, a reasonably sized kitchen, a downstairs toilet, and a small courtyard area. The second floor has two bedrooms and a large bathroom with a separate bath and shower, and the third floor is for the third bedroom. The house has tiled flooring throughout, so stays very cool during the summer months.

While the terrace is a standalone building, because it is part of a complex there is access to secure underground car parking.

The house is less than a minutes walk to buses running along Parramatta Rd and Norton St, and a 5-10 minute walk to Petersham train station. Norton Plaza (with a bottle shop, Harris Farm, butcher, and Coles) is a 5 minute walk away, while MarketPlace Leichhardt (with another butcher, Woolworths, Aldi) is 10-15 minutes walk away.

Bills and expenses

The terrace is hooked up to gas (it's used for the stove tops and water heating), and NBN internet is available with WIFI covering the entire house. Electricity tends to come to around $140 per person, with the occasional spike during summer. We also have cleaners who come every fortnight, which costs $25 per person.

About the occupants
I'm Nick (short for Nicholas), the one writing this ad! Recently turned 36, and I work as a TAFE teacher teaching IT (developing software) as well as doing a bit of contract work on the side. I tend to work pretty regular hours, except for a couple of nights where I teach evening classes; the flipside is that I have a day or two off now and then, and long holidays.

You'll see me about the house pretty regularly, but I'm also often out and about meeting with friends at the pub, playing tennis, or bike riding. That's the pedal kind of bike. Maybe due to my occupation, I tend to be a pretty outgoing person and am always happy to have a chat.

Home is where you go to unwind after a long day at work; as such we like to keep things very relaxed. Striking a balance between the need to have alone time, while still enjoying the communal aspects of shared housing. Sometimes you feel like chatting, or catching up over dinner at the pub, and sometimes you just want that quiet time alone to chill and not do much of anything.

As I'm a bit older (not too old!) I'm after someone who is a working professional. Very welcoming of someone who likes to invest a bit in where they live and make it feel like a home, more than just a roof over your head.
Description of pets
Another recent addition to the house is Frida, a 4 year-old ginger cat. She can be a bit nervy around new people, but once she gets used to you she loves attention and plenty of pats, when she isn't napping somewhere around the house.
