Hi, I’ve included a floor plan in the photos showing the house, it’s a large home with high ceilings, wood flooring & a big back yard.
This spacious home, close to The Strand cafe’s in Croydon, is ideal for musicians, artists or other creative types. I’ve recently moved into this pet-friendly detached house with a huge back yard, and two rooms are available to rent immediately.
All ages, races, genders, LGBTI etc welcome. Singles only, no couples sorry. I don’t eat meat and would prefer to live with others who are plant-based/ vegans/ vegetarians/ pesco etc, but am flexible for the right flatmates.
There are three bedrooms total, a large living room, open plan kitchen/dining, one shared bathroom (as well as an extra toilet in the laundry), plus a music studio (if you’re a musician too, you’re welcome to use it). The house has high ceilings, period features and wood floors throughout. All the rooms have been freshly painted. Croydon Station is located 500m away and there’s also plenty of parking available on the street.
Small or medium sized dogs are welcome. There’s a dog door already installed for my Cavalier Franklin (more about him below under ‘About the flatmates’) and the back yard is fully fenced.
Bedroom #1 overlooks the front garden, with a beautiful bay window. It’s very spacious, measuring 3.4m by 3.7m. Unfurnished. $220pw + bills.
Bedroom #2 is very sunny and peaceful, located at the side of the house. It measures 3.4m by 2.8m. Unfurnished. $170pw + bills.
Alternatively, if you need additional space to play music, create art etc, I am open to renting out half the house to one person. You can use bedroom #1 as your bedroom, and bedroom #3 as your own studio space. Bedroom #3 is a cute little sunroom with loads of light and a small built in bookshelf. Unfurnished. You can rent both spaces for the reduced price of $290pw + bills.
The rooms are available NOW. During lockdown in Sydney, you’re allowed to leave your home to view a potential property and you’re also allowed to move home. All viewings will be conducted in a COVID-safe manner – please wear a mask.

Hi I’m Johnny. I play drums professionally, and also teach music from my home studio (no later than 8pm) and so the house is best suited to other musicians, artists and other creative types. I have a seven year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Franklin, he’s very friendly and well behaved. I’m plant-based / vegan and a non-smoker. I’m easy going, and enjoy a good chat and a few drinks with my flatmates. I enjoy going to gigs, the theatre and the beach. Any questions, just message me.
