Felix... That was the name of our very first customer some 22 years ago, when we flung our doors open to the wonderful world of gay and lesbian share accommodation. He was young, attractive, and full of enthusiasm for his new life. Indeed, Felix, like us, was making a bold commitment to something new - in our case, a gay and lesbian service; in his case, a gay lifestyle.

As he passed our shiny new door sign and jungle of office plants, Felix was unaware that it was our first day on the job. For the most part, 1987 was pre-technology. Sure, silicon chips were around, but PC's were in their early days and the Internet was still a military secret. We did use computers however, a basic system that filtered a database across a handful of criteria.

It worked! Felix found a fabulous home with like-minded guys, and returned to use our service several times over the years - both as a flatmate seeking, and householder offering share accommodation. Back then, there was no way to know that he’d be the first of many over a 22 year period that has morphed our service in ways we never dreamed of.

Technology has changed at a roaring pace, and we’ve sometimes scrambled to keep up, but keep up we’ve done! Actually, this new site a quantum-leap with loads of smart stuff that connects gay and lesbian flatmates, roommates, housemates, tennants and guests with available accommodation using profiles that include heaps of information, photos, videos and Google maps.

New website, new technology, new everything, but the same old commitment to providing top-quality service, getting results, and being friendly about it. We’ve lost track of Felix, and the jungle of office plants has been traded for a stylish little tray of succulents, but this service is as young, as attractive, and as full of enthusiasm as our first day on the job.
